ALBAWABA - Egyptian Egyptian state-linked TV revealed that talks on truce in Gaza have witnessed a "significant progress".
Delegations from Qatar, Hamas and the United States gathered in Egypt on Sunday for discussions of a possible six-week truce in Gaza as the war is about to enter its fifth month.
On the second day of talks on the Gaza truce, mediators said that there is hope for a possible truce agreement between Hamas and Israel.
On March 3, a new round of Gaza truce talks were held in Egypt's capital, Cairo with hopes to reach an agreement before Ramadan 2024, Egyptian media reported.
Reports revealed that Cairo, Washington and Doha have been playing a huge role in the past few weeks to stop the war in Gaza which started last October killing at least 30,410 people, mostly women and children.
The proposed Gaza truce suggests a pause in fighting for six weeks in response Hamas will be requested to free hostages. Meanwhile, under the truce, Israel is asked to release a number of Palestinian prisoners from jails and allow more aid trucks to enter Gaza.
