Three Palestinians died and seven were reported wounded after an Israeli raid on smuggling tunnels between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, medical sources said on Tuesday. The dead were inside the tunnels when the Israeli air force attacked the area in the early morning hours, they said.
According to AFP, the raid took place near the southern border town of Rafah. The attack came after mortar shells fired from Gaza into Israel wounded one soldier late on Monday.
