Israeli strikes killed at least four Palestinians in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip on Sunday, local medical officials said.

In the first attack, a missile fired from an Israeli aircraft killed three Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday, local medical officials said. According to Reuters, an Israeli military spokesman confirmed that an aircraft had fired at three men who had just launched rockets into southern Israel. He said they have launched over 1,000 rockets at Israel in the past four months.

An official from Hamas said the missile hit a container at a factory near the town of Beit Hanoun. He said the three men, including a father and his son, had not been involved in the firing of the rockets. Hospital officials identified the three victims as Zaher al Aaer, 40, his 18-year-old son, Youssef, and a neighbor, Mohammed Abu Khirbet, 23.

Later, Palestinian medics declared the death of at least one man and the injury of a number others, when a brick factory has been hit. The medics identified the victim as Hesham Khadoura, 25, who is believed to be a member of the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad.
