Israel announced Sunday that it has resumed fuel deliveries to the sole power plant in the Gaza Strip, according to Agence France-Presse.
"The Kerem Shalom crossing was reopened [Sunday] morning, allowing the resumption of fuel supplies to the plant whose operation could resume late Sunday afternoon," an official in Gaza told AFP on condition of anonymity.
All lights were out in Gaza earlier this week after supply shortages and the closure of the Kerem Shalom border crossing halted the plant's electricity production for over two days.
The crossing was closed last week after a Palestinian sniper killed an Israel who was working near the Israeli-Gaza strip territory border.
Palestinians living in Gaza receive many of their goods and resources through the crossing.
