ALBAWABA- EU foreign policy chief Joseph Burel criticized the Israeli military bombardment of Gaza, declaring the territory as the world's largest "open-air graveyard."
Speaking at a meeting of EU ministers in Brussels, Burel lamented the dire situation, describing Gaza as a graveyard for both its inhabitants and humanitarian principles.
He further accused the Israeli occupation of deliberately starving Gaza's population and using it as a "weapon of war" by obstructing aid deliveries, warning of a looming famine.
Significantly, over two million Palestinians in Gaza endure severe starvation due to the Israeli-imposed blockade, which weaponizes hunger as a tool of warfare.
Tragically, numerous individuals have succumbed to malnutrition, while the Israeli forces' aggression has resulted in the deaths of over 31,726 Palestinians and injuries to 73,792 more, primarily impacting vulnerable groups such as children, women, and the elderly since October 7.
The quality of life in Gaza has become unbearable as Israeli forces have decimated 80 percent of its infrastructure, leaving its inhabitants without access to essential resources for survival.
