ALBAWABA- Brigadier General Fayeq Al-Mabhouh, Commander of the Police Service in Gaza, was killed by Israeli troops in Gaza City, according to local sources.

Al-Mabhouh was responsible for securing aid trucks in northern Gaza and refused to surrender to Israeli forces, engaging them before his death.

The Israeli army has claimed responsibility, stating they eliminated Fayeq al-Mabhouh, head of operations for Hamas' internal security in Gaza, during an operation near Shifa Hospital.

Notably,  the Israeli army confirmed the storming of Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City in a military operation last night.

According to Palestinian sources, the Israeli forces have also targeted and destroyed broadcasting vehicles in the yard of the Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Witnesses in Gaza City reported seeing tanks encircle the hospital location. In November, the Israeli army conducted an operation in Al-Shifa, which sparked an international outrage.

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, tens of thousands of Palestinians who have been displaced due to the brutal Israeli aggression have sought shelter at the medical complex.
