Does your current notebook leave you craving for speed? Fujitsu Siemens Computers new LIFEBOOK S6410 provides mach 3 performance while delivering even more reliability, connectivity and independence to mobile users.
Enhancing the already high standards of the company’s professional notebook Series, the new 13.3-inch notebook with Intel Centrino Duo processor technology weighs a mere 1.7 kilograms and has a battery life of up to one working day. The LIFEBOOK S6410 tops in connectivity – offering mobile internet access, anytime, anywhere via embedded UMTS/HSUPA.
“Mobility and connectivity is the buzzword when it comes to choosing a notebook,” said (insert name), (insert title), Fujitsu Siemens Computers. “According to market researcher IDC, within two years, one quarter of all employees will no longer be sitting in a conventional office workplace, with the number of mobile workers soaring to 850 million by 2009*; which is a clear indication of where the notebook market is heading. The new LIFEBOOK S6410 is optimized to meet the needs of this growing segment. When designing the LIFEBOOK S6410, we also placed particular emphasis on the high security standards needed for mobile working.”
A biometric fingerprint sensor is installed as standard in all LIFEBOOK’s. The LIFEBOOK S6410 comes with a magnesium housing to minimize impact, and boasts a spill-proof keyboard that prevents water from seeping into the system, while allowing enough time for the user to shut down safely in case of a spillage. In addition, a ShockSensor protects the hard disk from vibration or shock, and the RecoveryButton averts loss of data.
Weighing just 1.7 kg, it is the lightest 13.3-inch notebook with a modular bay on the market. Intel Centrino Duo processor technology with Intel 965GM chipset enables efficient multitasking and substantially boosts productivity. Thanks to Intel's Turbo Memory function, long delays while waiting for a notebook to boot are a thing of the past, while high-speed internet access with the LIFEBOOK S6410 is assured by integrated WLAN and Bluetooth, as well as UMTS/HSUPA. HSUPA allows download speeds of up to 7.2 MBit/s and upload speeds of 1.4 MBit/s, and the integrated ConfCamera means that the S6410 is ideally suited to videoconferencing.
One of the notebook's outstanding features is the length of time that it can run without external power. With an optional second battery and using the integrated EcoButton, the LIFEBOOK S6410 can run for a full working day.
It will be available across the region from July.
