Unique collaboration with CUH2A fuses design skills of fashion designer and architect to produce stylish skyscraper-inspired garments
French Fashion University Esmod, the internationally acclaimed French fashion institution, has announced that it has achieved excellent reviews of its 'Buildings for Hats' presentation, which was held in collaboration with CUH2A Inc., a US-based firm of architects, engineers and planners, as one of the featured events during the Cityscape Dubai 2007 exhibition.
The presentation featured professional models wearing garments designed by the French Fashion University Esmod, based on collaborative ideas and efforts between the University and the CUH2A architects. During the presentation, the models wore stylish costumes that distinctly resembled highly fashionable skyscrapers.

Our unique collaboration has produced exciting ideas that helped enhance CUH2A's participation at Cityscape. Built on a legacy of creative energy and specialized expertise, CUH2A's architects, engineers and planners design some of the most advanced science and technology facilities in the world, designing over 60 million square feet of research and development space since its founding in 1962. CUH2A also seeks to integrate best practices from other related fields, which it has underscored through its collaboration with French Fashion University Esmod at Cityscape.
"The design ideas constitute a thoughtful response to the requirements and parameters of any project. The best design concepts are an integral part of a collaborative mode of working, which was one of the messages we aimed to deliver during the event. We are thankful to all who watched our presentation, which I am sure gave visitors a better perspective of what fashion and Cityscape are really about," Mrs Hostal added.
French Fashion University Esmod is the sole institution in the UAE dedicated to fashion. In only its second year, the University has already received a strong response to its fashion program. In its inaugural year of operation in 2006, French Fashion University Esmod produced the UAE's first graduate in fashion design and also secured a number of top awards for its students.
The Dubai-based fashion institution has a total of 65 students from 16 different countries, and offers a three-year bachelor's degree and various workshops that last from three to six months. The University is also poised to introduce new fashion programs, which will be unveiled in the near future.
