Fox series bags exclusive rights to CSI franchise in the Middle East

Continuing to demonstrate its commitment to bringing quality home entertainment in the Middle East and North Africa region, Fox International Channels (FIC) bagged the exclusive rights to premier the latest seasons of the CSI Franchise in the region. The show, previously shown on different networks, will now be exclusive to Fox Series making the channel the one-stop destination in the MENA region for all new and first run CSI content. The deal includes the entire CSI Franchise including the latest never before seen CSI: New York and CSI: Miami seasons, which will be exclusive and first-run on Free-to-air television in the MENA region. Starting, September 21st, Fox Series will be the place-to-go every Tuesday nights for CSI lovers as two back-to-back episodes of CSI Las Vegas (Season 9) and CSI Miami (Season 7) will be premiered at prime time from 9.00pm-11.00pm (KSA time) and 10.00pm-12.00pm (UAE time). “Fox Series is dedicated to bringing the best quality home entertainment to the region. In this respect, we sought the exclusive rights to all new first run CSI series seasons. We are very excited to be premiering exclusively a series that is an all time favourite amongst viewers worldwide and particularly in the Middle East. We are also excited about the rest of our new programming. Fox series will be broadcasting a bouquet of first run, never before seen series in the MENA region such as Dollhouse and Life on Mars, as well as new seasons of Army Wives and Private Practice. Fox series also holds the exclusive rights to the latest seasons of Desperate Housewives and Lost. New shows will also be supported by aggressive marketing campaigns in KSA, Egypt and the UAE,” said Athreyan Sundararajan, Marketing Director FIC. In Season 9 of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Laurence Fishburne joins the cast of as Dr. Raymond Langston, adding to the show’s popularity. The season begins with the discovery of CSI Warrick Brown’s murder. The entire team grieves for their fallen friend while unknown to them the killer, the Undersheriff, investigates the murder. Gil Grissom, played by William Peterson, prepares to leave the team for good. The CSI team works to close Grissom's last open case, the "Dick & Jane" murders. Before leaving, Grissom offers Dr. Raymond Langston, who helped with the “Dick & Jane” case, a permanent position as part of the CSI team.
