Forum in Abu Dhabi to focus on ECM
ITQAN-Open Text event to benefit local companies
Abu Dhabi, 4 June 2007: Up to one hundred delegates from leading local and regional companies will have the opportunity to update their knowledge of “enterprise content management” at a day-long IT forum in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday June 5th, according to the event’s organizers.
The forum will provide participants with new information that will help them to optimize ECM solutions for their companies. The sessions will offer real-world ECM solutions for all types of businesses and discuss ECM market trends in the region.
The forum has been put together by ITQAN, the leading total systems integrator in the region, along with its international partner Open Text, the world’s largest independent provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software and solutions.
The “ITQAN and Open Text ECM Leadership Forum” is sponsored by Microsoft, the international golden partner of ITQAN, and KOFAX, the world’s leading provider of information capture software. The event at Le Royal Meridien Hotel will see the participation of renowned local companies such as Injazat Data Systems, GASCO and Dolphin Energy.
Among the topics to be discussed during the event are “ECM Market and Trends” which will be presented by Open Text, a case study by Dolphin Energy and an overview about Injazat Data Systems. The forum will be a good networking opportunity for participants to discuss critical issues facing their specific industry with their peers, with case studies focusing on Livelink ECM clients such as the case study presented by Dolphin Energy.
ITQAN General Manager Feras Al Jabi said participants will have the chance to discover new Livelink ECM solutions designed to extend an organization’s investments in core technologies including Microsoft, Oracle and SAP.
“ITQAN is proud to organize this forum in Abu Dhabi. It provides the participants with the chance to demonstrate their experiences and share their ideas with professionals from around the world,” Al Jabi said.
“We also hope that this forum will introduce the advanced IT environment the UAE enjoys to the international participants,” he added.
ITQAN will have two presentations which are “ITQAN UAE experience with Open Text technologies” and “eDiwan for Correspondence Management”. eDiwan is a complete eGovernment portal solution that is modular and designed to automate business processes at government entities. It is built using Live link and Microsoft technologies and has been ported from a solution originally developed by Open Text, one of ITQAN’s strategic partners.
