Former Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Salim al-Hus stressed the necessity of adherence to the national unity and to the al-Taif agreement to face the current stage, according to the Syrian news agency <i>SANA</i>.
In a meeting Monday, al-Hus said achieving the al-Taif agreement and activating communications between Syria and Lebanon are required at this stage to cement the national unity, the agency reported.
He also underlined Lebanon’s Arab identity, pointing out that the UN resolution caused a national fracture in Lebanon.
