Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Sunday that the Israel is not in a position to threaten Iran. According to IRNA, he made the remarks speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony of the 17th session of Iran-Pakistan Joint Economic Commission which started in Tehran earlier on Sunday.
"The Zionist regime is not in a position to enter such an adventurism as they know what could be the answer to such an impudence in the region," Mottaki told reporters. He stressed that Israel was still "suffering from aftershocks" of its humiliating defeat in the 33-day imposed war on Lebanon in 2006.
However, the Iranian minister said that repeating the same statements by Israeli officials against Iran for several times was "a clear example of admitting to possessing nuclear weapons and spirit of aggression." Mottaki stressed that Iran would make necessary measures "to register with the United Nations the Israeli officials aggressive measures and violation of international laws as the UN documents."
