The city of Fez will hold the first national festival for Amazighe (Berber) culture. The festival is organized by the city council, the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah University and the Royal Institute for Amazighe Culture, with the aim of promoting and preserving this culture. The festival is scheduled to take place in Fez from March 10 to March 12.

The organizers hope that the festival will introduce both to Moroccans and to the outside world the huge variety and richness of Moroccan cultures and identities and that it will render the Amazighe culture more accessible to the younger generations in the kingdom.
