The Mohammed V solidarity foundation will distribute fast-breaking meals in cities and Basic necessity food items for people living in rural areas, for a total value of $ 6.3 million (70 million Dirhams), Maghrib Agency Press (MAP) reported Tuesday.
The foundation which has undertaken two operations of this kind over the past two years, will be providing the poorest families in rural areas basic necessity foodstuffs such as sugar, oil and wheat, while needy families in the cities will be given a meal every evening at the break of the fast, MAP said.
A total of 40,150 meals will be distributed every day to families who have been identified by provincial committees. The budget allocated to rural areas this year is twice as high as last year’s -- Albawaba.com
