Within the framework of the music festival "Jazz in Carthage" the French saxophonist Julien Lourau is performing from April 12 to April 16. La Presse reports that Julien Lourau is one of the most important saxophonists especially in the European scene. Lourau will present his last album “Fire & Forget” in Carthage, which is a synthesis of his previous albums. In 1998 Loura surprised everyone by announcing that it is time to stop the “Groove Gang” adventure, a band he had been leading for seven years. Then he formed a new band with the flutist Malik Mezzadri and the Argentine percussionist Minino Garay as well as two survivors of the “Groove Gang, the DJ Shalom and Maxime Zampieri. “ The Rise”, “Voodoo Dance,” and “Gabmit” are among some of Louarau’s famous albums.
