Extreme Networks, a leading provider of converged Ethernet networks, held its annual 4th MEA Channel Summit 2010 in the Jordan Dead Sea Valley Marriott Resort & Spa last month.
The three day event was designed to give Extreme Networks' partners from across the region the latest in information and training on their latest technology innovations and a solid education in Ethernet convergence. This year's Extreme Networks MEA partner event was well attended by over fifty existing and new channel regional partners.
The action-packed agenda included several speaker sessions from both Extreme Network's own specialists as well as partner specialists, and addressed key industry trends and topics, including Datacenters, Virtualization, Service Provider Solutions, and Converged Enterprise Solutions.

At the MEA Channel Conference, Extreme Networks gave partners a chance to share information and best practices necessary in order to successfully sell solutions and strategy. Topical market issues such as consolidations, acquisitions and datacenters were addressed. Extreme Networks further updated its partners on its new products and solutions, and this year's conference was focused around solutions for the Datacenter, as the Datacenter market is the fastest growing segment within the Ethernet market. Virtualization is key in today's datacenter and Extreme Networks' partners were informed of the new Datacenter solutions recently launched. Extreme Networks also briefed its partners on its upcoming 40 Gigabit solutions range.
