ALBAWABA- Massive explosions were reported in Jerusalem late Monday as Iran launched a fresh wave of ballistic missiles toward Israel, marking a dramatic escalation in the ongoing conflict.
Israeli military sources confirmed air raid sirens were heard across the country as the Iranian barrage struck.
According to Israeli Army Radio, this is Iran’s first major missile strike in the past 18 hours. Channel 12 reported that between five and seven ballistic missiles were fired in the latest salvo, with some falling short and hitting the roads while Israeli air defenses intercepted others.
In a sharp warning to Washington, a senior Iranian official threatened direct attacks on U.S. naval forces if America joins the fight. “Enemy ships will be targeted, and our operations will extend to the seas,” the official said.
He added that Hezbollah would also respond in case of U.S. intervention, raising fears of a wider regional war.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes reportedly hit multiple sites in the Iranian capital, Tehran, including two centrifuge production facilities, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi also weighed in, condemning Israel’s actions as violations of international law. “The right and wrong in this conflict are clear,” Wang said. “The world must not allow the region to descend into an abyss.”
