An exchange of fire between Palestinians and Israeli troops was reported in the West Bank Wednesday, according to The Jerusalem Post newspaper, adding that there were no reports of injuries.
The paper said that armed Palestinians traded fire with Israeli soldiers near Rachel's Tomb, located on the northern edge of Bethlehem.
In Ramallah, an exchange of fire was reported between Palestinians and Israeli forces, but no injuries were reported, according to the paper.
On Tuesday, Israeli troops shot dead three Palestinians in clashes that flared in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
A Palestinian teenager was shot and killed in clashes near the Karni crossing point between the Gaza Strip and Israel, said AFP.
Imad al-Daya, 17, who was shot in the head during the clashes, died several hours later.
Earlier Tuesday, officials said two Palestinian boys died of wounds suffered during clashes with Israeli troops in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip five days ago.
Some 24 people were wounded in violent confrontations with Israeli forces on Tuesday at Rafah and the Karni crossing point between Israel and the Gaza Strip, hospital officials said.
The Israeli army also reported a bomb explosion in the path of a military patrol between Karni and the nearby Jewish settlement of Netzarim. One soldier was slightly injured from shrapnel and treated on the spot.
The army had earlier reported two bomb explosions on Tuesday -- near the settlement of Gush Katif in the southern Gaza Strip and in Rafah -- but said no one was injured.
In the West Bank, Israeli troops shot another six Palestinians with live ammunition after being targeted with stones in the West Bank village of al-Khader, near Bethlehem, said AFP (Several Sources)
