EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said Tuesday after a visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories that there was a "small window of opportunity" to restart stalled peace negotiations.
"There is a small window of opportunity to restart the negotiations in the coming weeks," Solana told AFP after arriving in Egypt with a US-led panel to probe 10 weeks of violence that has derailed the peace process.
"My feeling is that there is certainly hope to move things and, in the next few weeks, to restart the negotiations," he said -- CAIRO (AFP)
