Syria's Finance Ministry and the European Union are to sign an agreement on launching an EU-financed Euro 6-million project to modernize the Finance Ministry. “The project will boost the formation of the ministerial policies, modernize the tax system and direct it in a way to meet needs of the sought-for social market economy”, Head of the European Commission in Damascus Frank Hesske said in a statement Wednesday, cited by <I>SANA</I>.
