The European Commission in Brussels has decided to allocate an additional amount of 1.9 million euros to Yemen for emergency assistance, a statement by the commission's Yemen office said.
The funds will be used to fund five projects in the fields of health, water supply and rural development, said the statement, cited by the official Yemeni news agency, Saba.
All five projects will be implemented by European NGOs in close cooperation with local partners and communities, said the statement – Albawaba.com
