Etihad Airways has appointed Beatrice Cosgrove as its Dublin-based country manager in Ireland.
She will be responsible for launching the airline’s entry into the Irish market and developing Etihad’s commercial operations in Ireland.
Ms Cosgrove joins Etihad from Continental Airlines, where she worked for eight year, most recently as its sales manager for Ireland. Beatrice also held positions with ALL Nippon Airways and American Airlines.
Kirk Albrow, Etihad Airways’ regional general manager, Europe and the Americas, said: “Beatrice combines extensive experience of the airline industry with in-depth understanding of the Irish business climate. She has the right mix of airline and tourism skills and knowledge to realise Etihad’s potential in Ireland.”
Etihad Airways’ Dublin service to Abu Dhabi will launch on 2 July. Etihad will fly four times a week between Ireland and the UAE, which will conveniently connect at Abu Dhabi with onward services to many of Etihad’s growing network of destinations in the Indian subcontinent, Far East and Australia.
Beatrice Cosgrove and her newly established team will be based in central Dublin, many of whom have joined Etihad Airways from Gulf Air after it announced its withdrawal from Ireland.
