ALBAWABA - President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the international press during the G20 Leaders Summit, offering support to Morocco in the wake of the recent earthquake.
He stated, "As a country that experienced a century's catastrophe six months ago, we are ready to assist our Moroccan brothers and sisters with all our capabilities regarding the earthquake."
Erdoğan also highlighted Turkey's advancements in renewable energy, nuclear, and hydrogen investments, saying, "We are taking significant steps in both renewable energy and nuclear and hydrogen investments."
Emphasizing Turkey's commitment to global aid efforts, President Erdoğan stated, "We, as Turkey, believe that a fairer world is possible. We are the country that provides the most aid in the world in proportion to our national income."
Regarding the grain situation, Erdoğan expressed doubts about the sustainability of any process that excludes Russia, saying, "The likelihood of a sustainable process that excludes Russia in the grain issue is very low."
President Erdoğan strongly condemned the burning of the Quran under police protection, labeling it as a clear provocation and a hate crime. He asserted, "No one can expect us to remain silent about it. With the efforts and proposals of our country, attacks on sacred books have also been condemned in the G20 statement."
In an effort to contribute to global food security, Erdoğan announced, "In contribution to global food security, we will soon convene the Food Security Working Group."
President Erdoğan concluded by stressing the need for countries experiencing a rise in Islamophobia to adopt more determined policies for the sake of humanity's common future.
