Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), the Dubai Government-owned, diversified Energy Group, recently organised a training programme for thirty-five ENOC/EPPCO Retail Team members entitled, “Team Alignment – Leadership Challenge” with Genyx Consulting, a partner in performance improvement, at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club.

Designed to match the elements of the retail business with these key objectives, “Diagnose, Design, Deliver and Develop”, the day was packed with reviews, discussions, workshops, presentations and experiential exercises, ranging from intellectual, emotional, and physical.

The programme encompassed various themes like, “Recognise who we are – our strengths and weaknesses”, “How we are as a team”, “What would my stakeholder say about my team?”, “What is image, reputation and brand?”, as well as “Have fun”.

Commenting on ENOC’s commitment to its employees, Saeed Khoory, ENOC Group Chief Executive said, “ENOC is proud to be the employer of choice and such initiatives highlight our commitment to developing our employees to the fullest.”

“The purpose of the workshop was for employees to get together and learn how to work effectively as a team in order to bring out the best results. Delegates were encouraged to introspect, share, be transparent and work together as employees of ENOC rather than as managers and staff,” said Zaid AlQufaidi, Chief Operating Officer.

The fun and enlightening day came to a close with a tired but energised team cheering the winners of the ENOC Team Challenge Trophy on the podium of the Jebel Ali Go Cart racetrack. In relation, delegates were also shown a video on traffic safety to enable them effectively deal with road rage.
