ALBAWABA - U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced in a statement that the Strait of Hormuz is open and that a plan will be agreed to remove mines implemented by Iran during the over 100-day war.
Vance also said Monday that Iran has agreed to invite International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors back into the Islamic Republic. The statements align with the first round of U.S.-Iran talks towards ending the Middle East war.
"The Iranians have agreed to invite IAEA inspectors back into their country," Vance told reporters at Switzerland's Burgenstock resort.
He also noted that this "is a major milestone for the American people and the first step in permanently denuclearising or permanently ending a nuclear weapons programme in Iran".
