ALBAWABA - A police officer was stabbed in his chest at Frankland Prison in Durham, England, BBC reported on Tuesday.
According to local media that cited Durham Police, the policeman who was attacked is "conscious and talking" in hospital.
BBC reported that the officer from another force was stabbed in his chest at about 11:00 BST during a visit to the prison.
A spokesperson for the Durham police revealed: "A police officer, who was visiting the facility from an outside force, suffered a stab wound to the chest during the incident."
He added: "The injured officer has been taken to hospital by ambulance, where he is described as being 'conscious and talking."
