For the second year in a row, Emirates Islamic Bank co-sponsors Al Multaqa Al Ramadani, the major religious event taking place right through the holy month of Ramadan. This year the hugely popular annual programme “Riad Al Janna” will start on September 30th and conclude on the 11th of October.
This will be the 5th Al Multaqa Al Ramadani event held in Dubai. Reputed Islamic scholars from across the region will present lectures regarding various religious subjects.
Mr. Faisal Aqil General Manager Retail Banking at Emirates Islamic Bank commented saying: “This sponsorship is in line with the Bank’s practice to promote the Islamic lifestyle in general. We are honoured to be associated with a religious event of this calibre for the second year in a row. It also coincides with the second anniversary of Emirates Islamic Bank, which we launched two years back during Ramadan.”
Also speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sameh Mohamed Awadalla, Head of Branches and Ethmar at Emirates Islamic Bank, said: “I am honoured to participate in the opening press conference announcing this year’s event. Al Multaqa Al Ramadani holds a special significance for us at the bank, and we will continue supporting it in whichever way we can.”
The first lecture entitled “Riad Al Janna” (Gardens of Paradise) will take place at the Multaqa tent in the Tawar area and will be delivered by Sheikh Muhammed Hassan on Saturday 30th of September 2006 at 9.30 pm.
Al Multaqa will feature one lecture every night from September 30th till October 11th 2006.
