ALBAWABA - A naked woman has driven controversy online after she replaced a church bell clapper and was seen hanging upside down.
The footage circulated on the internet depicted a half-naked woman climbing onto a rope on a church bell and replacing its clapper, then she was seen dangling and swinging from one side to the other.
The clip took place at Austria's pavilion of the Venice Biennale, in Italy, and the woman was identified as Austrian performance artist Florentina Holzinger.
At "Seaworld Venice," Austrian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, Florentina Holzinger used a church bell to spread awareness across the world about the "increasingly surrendered to the waves" issue.
The Venice Biennale is one of the world’s most important contemporary art exhibitions, held in Venice, Italy. It was founded in 1895 and takes place every two years.
According to ART News, "The pavilions describe how the 'closed-loop recycling system serves as a raw metaphor for a life lived in the refuse of others."
