The UAE has launched a five-day anti-smoking campaign that aims to counter the spreading smoking problem in the country.
According to the organizers of the campaign, the people who quit smoking will be honored by the Anti-Smoking Unit.

A symposium on the risks of smoking and its relation with drug addiction from security, religious, social and medical perspectives will be held by the ministry at the Al Shahba Preparatory School for Boys to focus on the disadvantages of smoking.
A number of students from different schools will visit the unit and will be told about the risks of smoking.
