Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) is expanding its aviation training capabilities with the addition of two new CAE full-flight simulators (FFSs).
ECFT has a customer-base of over 100 commercial airlines and business jet operators across the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Its new CAE 7000 Series Bombardier Global Express and CAE 5000 Series Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 800 XPI simulators will become part of training programmes when installed and commissioned by the second half of 2009.
Dave Barette, Managing Director of Emirates-CAE Flight Training, said: “The addition of these new simulators greatly increases our product offering to meet the training requirements of our customers across the region and beyond.
“I am confident that our enhanced facilities will attract new customers, whose pilots will enjoy the best training available in the secure and pleasant surroundings of Dubai.”
Both simulators will feature the CAE True TM Electric Motion System, as well as CAE’s next-generation visual solution, including the new CAE Tropos®-6000 visual system and Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) projectors.
The CAE 5000 Series FFS for the Hawker 800 XPI will be the first 5000 Series FFS designed and manufactured for that aircraft type. CAE launched the new 5000 Series FFS earlier this year.
“Emirates-CAE Flight Training is the leading flight training facility in the region for both commercial and business aviation operators,” said Marc Parent, CAE’s Group President, Simulation Products and Military Training & Services.
“We are pleased ECFT continues to expand with CAE’s true fidelity simulation equipment.”
Emirates-CAE Flight Training is located close to Dubai International Airport and is jointly operated by the Emirates Group and CAE. Approved by both the JAA and the FAA, the facility offers training to commercial airlines and business jet operators in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia. The 14-bay centre currently houses 10 full-flight simulators: two Airbus A320/ACJs, an Airbus A330/340, a Boeing 777, two Boeing 737 NG/BBJs, a Gulfstream IV and a Gulfstream V/550, a Hawker 800/800XP and a Bell 412 helicopter simulator.
