ALBAWABA- Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, arrived in Oman on Tuesday for a two-day state visit, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations between the two Gulf nations.
Sultan Haitham bin Tarik welcomed Sheikh Tamim and his delegation with a formal reception at Al Alam Palace.
The two leaders held an official session of talks, focusing on enhancing cooperation in various fields, promoting economic partnerships, and addressing key regional and international issues.
During the discussions, His Majesty Sultan Haitham expressed his warm welcome and underscored the importance of this visit in fostering deeper ties between Oman and Qatar.
Sheikh Tamim reciprocated with heartfelt thanks for the warm hospitality, emphasizing his commitment to advancing mutual interests.
The session explored opportunities for collaboration in investment, trade, culture, and youth development. Both leaders discussed pathways to bolster their nations' economies and meet the aspirations of their people.
They also exchanged views on pressing global issues, emphasizing the need for regional peace, security, and stability.
The high-level talks were attended by prominent officials from both sides, reflecting the depth of bilateral relations. Key ministers, including HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, and HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, among others represented Oman.
The Qatari delegation included Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and other senior ministers and officials.
