The Egyptian opposition party, Al- Wafd, has elected a new leader, Numan Jumaa on Friday, reported the BBC.online.
The vote followed the death last month of Fuad Seraggedin who passed away at the age of 90.
Before the vote, Jumaa, who's in his mid-sixties, said party laws needed changing to reduce the powers of leaders and increase the chances of the younger generation taking senior posts, according to the BBC.
Although the Wafd has only five members in Egypt's 455-seat people's assembly, it forms the largest single opposition group in the chamber, said the BBC - Albawaba.com
