Egyptian forces started deploying along their border with the Gaza Strip, ahead of Israel's military withdrawal from the Palestinian territory. "They received the green light and started deploying this morning," a senior security source said Saturday. The officer, according to AFP, added that the area had been sealed off. At least 200 Egyptian border soldiers were deployed, Egyptian sources added.

Meanwhile, Elements of the PA preventive security apparatus arrested a Palestinian youngster, whose identity was not revealed, in Marka village, north of Jenin city, on suspicion of planning a suicide bombing attack against an Israeli occupation target.

Sources in the town said that his arrest followed orders from the apparatus' headquarters in Ramallah and added that he was a member of the Islamic Jihad Movement. The Israeli occupation troops sealed off all entrances to the Jenin city soon after hearing of the news.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers arrested on Saturday morning four Palestinians in Farea area south of Tobas.
