Dubai's tourism promotion drive at the recently concluded Mediterranean Travel Fair in Cairo received high praise from the Egyptian leadership who visited the stalls set up by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, reported Gulf News.
Egyptian Prime Minister, Atef Ebeid, who opened the exhibition along with Tourism Minister Mamdouh El Beltagi, congratulated Dubai for its remarkable promotion and marketing efforts around the world.
He said the work had attracted the world's focus not just on Dubai, but the entire region as a tourist destination.
Ebeid also praised the relations between Egypt and the UAE in all fields including the exchange of expertise and hailed the high levels of cooperation between Egypt and Dubai.
While Egypt depends on its archaeological heritage to attract tourism, the UAE has succeeded in attracting influxes of tourists who visit the county to attend commercial events and shopping festivals in addition to art and cultural events – Albawaba.com
