Egyptian police have arrested two of the suspects in Friday's firebomb attack on a Cairo nightclub that left 16 people dead, the Interior Ministry said overnight.
The two admitted that they had thrown Molotov cocktails at the nightclub in the city's Agouza district in revenge for having been refused entry earlier, the ministry said.
The suspects, an 18-year old student and a 19-year-old mechanic, both from Cairo, were arrested in Suez province on the Red Sea coast after fleeing the capital.
The ministry did not say how many other suspects were being sought.
