Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa ruled out Tuesday a new summit between Israeli and Palestinian leaders in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
Moussa, making his second trip to Damascus in 48 hours to discuss the crisis in the Middle East, told reporters that no Sharm el-Sheikh meeting was planned.
"The next important event is the Arab summit" to be held in Cairo on October 21, Mussa said.
Barak told a cebinet meeting overnight he did not rule out a new summit with Arafat and US President Bill Clinton, but the White House said the necessary conditions were not yet in place -- DAMASCUS (AFP)
