Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher and his predecessor, Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, will visit Libya Monday for talks with Libyan officials on reviving the Arab role in the Middle East, said reports.
Maher was quoted by AFP as saying Friday he would lead an Egyptian delegation during Arab ministerial meetings "aimed at discussing proposals put forward by Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Kadhafi at the (March 27-28) Arab summit in Amman to activate common Arab action" in the Middle East.
Egyptian-Libyan talks will also be held on the sidelines of the meetings between Maher and Libya's African Affairs Minister Ali Triki.
An Arab League statement said the committee meetings would also be attended by Moussa.
At a meeting with college students in Benghazi, Kadhafi set three conditions that Israel had to meet before the Mideast conflict could be solved.
Repeating what he reportedly said at the summit, Kadhafi invited Israel to join the Arab League.
He said that Israel must withdraw from the occupied Palestinian lands, allow Palestinian refugees to return to their lands and allow the destruction of its weapons of mass destruction – Albawaba.com
