The Egyptian interior ministry declared Tuesday the three suicide bombers who killed 20 people in Sinai last month were trained in the Gaza Strip. According to AFP, Nasser Khamis al-Mallahi, the leader of the Egyptian organization blamed for the April 24 bombings in Dahab, sent the three suicide bombers to the Gaza Strip to receive training in weapons and explosives, it said in a statement. Another Palestinian, identified by the statement as Maged al-Deri, trained members of the group on the use of explosives and firearms.
The ministry did not specify which Palestinian group was involved in the training but named one of the pointmen as Tamer Nusseirat and added he was currently in Egyptian custody.
