ALBAWABA- In a seismic event, an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck the Bab el-Mandab area near the coast of Djibouti.
The powerful quake, occurring at 8:02 pm, was strongly felt by residents in the city of Ibb, central Yemen, and various governorate districts.
According to eyewitnesses, the tremor lasted for approximately 15 seconds.
Coinciding with the seismic activity, earthquake monitoring websites reported a separate quake in Djibouti, registering at 5 on the Richter scale.
