ALBAWABA- In a seismic event, an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck the Bab el-Mandab area near the coast of Djibouti.

According to eyewitnesses, the tremor lasted for approximately 15 seconds.

Coinciding with the seismic activity, earthquake monitoring websites reported a separate quake in Djibouti, registering at 5 on the Richter scale.
