Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), operators of one of the most popular wedding venues in the UAE, today held a draw that will enable two lucky couples to hold their dream wedding free of charge this summer.
The draw, which included a total of 84 couples who have booked a wedding at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) between July and August 2008, saw the winners provided with the opportunity to have all wedding costs covered by DWTC.
Summer is traditionally the “high season” for weddings in the UAE, with groups of up to 1,000 people attending the ceremonies and strong demand for high standards of hospitality and décor, particularly at ladies events.
“The draw was a great opportunity to demonstrate our support for the community. Weddings are a very important part of UAE society, and we wanted to provide an additional reason for the happy couples to celebrate,” said Najah Al Mulla, Manager Wedding Services, Dubai World Trade Centre.
With approximately 300 weddings in 2007, DICEC has grown to offer a number of venues, including the popular Al Multaqua Ballroom, capable of hosting up to 600 guests; the Maktoum Hall; Sheikh Rashid Hall with a capacity 4,000 and the largest hall – Za’abeel Hall. The venue also offers the UAE’s largest selection of special dishes, cutlery, and linens to complement its renowned multi-cuisine catering, which has received international recognition.
