Dubai Quality Group (DQG), a non-profit organization dedicated to raising the general performance level of the local business environment, has announced that it has organized a Suggestion and Rewarding Scheme (SRS) workshop, which will be held at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel from November 20-22, 2007. DQG has developed the SRS workshop as part of a series of highly targeted initiatives that aim to reinforce the culture of quality in various industries in Dubai.

The SRS workshop guarantees informative sessions with the internationally recognised corporate leader and motivational speaker Abdulqader Obaid Ali, who is the Director of Group Internal Audit and Business Excellence of Dubai World and also the company's Chairman of the Group Suggestion Reward Scheme. Moreover, the SRS workshop has been designed to be a suitable platform to boost credentials of individual participants, while offering to fast track and improve the SRS programs of corporate participants.

"We have carefully developed the workshop to provide optimum learning to participants, ensuring that each successful delegate will come out of the workshop as a certified suggestion scheme champion. The SRS workshop will help develop essential skills and provide techniques that will allow participants to create SRS schemes that match their corporate requirements," said Marwan Al Sawaleh, Chairman, DQG.

"Dubai Quality Group has been urging organisations to implement innovative measures to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. Implementing SRS within any organisational framework is a highly rewarding corporate move and we encourage organisations to join the workshop and discover the advantages of an excellent SRS program," added Al Sawaleh.

Targeting suggestion scheme champions, managers, evaluators and administrators, HR managers and quality managers, the SRS workshop will hold daily activities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Session topics include risk assessment, suggestions routing and reward system, manpower requirement for the scheme and job description, online system for the scheme, how to participate in local and international benchmarking and competition, idea generation and evaluation, marketing schemes, as well as a range of other topics about essential elements of an effective SRS program.

The workshop will also award an SRS certification to participants who complete the assessment exam that will be conducted at the end of each day. The assessment exam will have a multiple-choice format with up to 21 questions. Participants are therefore encouraged to attend each daily session to acquire the certification.

Abdulqader Obaid Ali, the workshop presenter, has been one of the high-profile proponents of quality and innovation in Dubai, serving as an honorary member of the Board of Directors of DQG after recently completing his tenure as the Group's Chairman. He also holds the distinction of being nominated by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to be on the Board of Directors of Dubai Media Incorporated.
