Dubai to Host First International E-Government Conference

More than 500 participants representing Arab and foreign government agencies and international firms will be attending the first international e-government conference, to be held on Monday at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, according to Gulf News. 

Organized by the Dubai E-government Executive Team and Gulfnet Conferences and Exhibitions, the event aims to highlight e-solutions, products and services, said the daily, which added that the conference will have a concurrent exhibition in which more than 20 organizations and companies will display their merchandise until Wednesday. 

The report cited Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, head of the Dubai E-Government Executive team, as saying that, "More than 35 international government and private organizations will participate in the event. More than 40 experts from all over the world will attend this conference to hear more than 20 local and international speakers about the latest developments in this field – Albawaba.com
