dubai festival city welcomes for the first time in the middle east
“Royal Crowns of the World”
Dubai Festival City, the world-class waterfront mixed-use urban community and one of the region’s most exciting retail destinations will be hosting a special exhibition of Royal Crowns of the World.  The exhibition is presented by the Rivoli Group in cooperation with Robbe & Berking, celebrating the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of Robbe & Berking’s founding.

The Royal Crowns of the World exhibition will display a collection of thirty Royal Crowns from around the World.  This exhibition has been enriched by a number of original pieces, such as the Royal Diadem of Tutankhamen Pharaoh, the Lama’s Silver Crown from Tibet, the Crown of Maharaja Murischidabad or the Pharaoh’s Sceptre. Replicas include the Egyptian Crowns, the “White Crown” of the Upper Egypt and the “Red Crown” of the Lower Egypt, the Crown of the Prince of Wales, the Crown of Queen Elizabeth and the Cap of the Venetian Doge.  The exhibition revives thousands of years of the World’s most magnificent history insignia.

The Royal Crowns of the World exhibition will also feature Robbe & Berking silverware that has been manufactured for many of the ruling houses from around the World, such as the Kremlin, the Aga Khan, the Royal House of Jordan and the German Federal Chancellery.  Robbe & Berking’s silver cutlery is made exclusively from sterling silver - this is the only grade of silver that is recognised in all countries of the World and contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% pure copper, which is added to provide stability.

“This is a unique opportunity to view some of the most spectacular Royal Crowns, a true testimonial of ancient heritages and World’s history. We encourage everyone to come to this extravagant event, held for the first time in the Middle East”, said Tom Miles, Senior General Manager Retail, Dubai Festival City.  “The showcasing of this magnificent collection presents an exclusive educational opportunity that is surely to benefit Dubai Festival City guests”.

The exhibition will be on display at Crescent Walk for viewing from Thursday 8th November through Sunday 18th November 2007.
