Dubai Customs rewards 50 outstanding inspectors in ‘Al Furdha Honors’

Dubai Customs organized yesterday (Sunday) the annual ceremony of ‘Al Furdha Honors’, which was devoted to honoring the best inspectors according to the biggest confiscations, best suggestions through the Suggestions & Rewarding Scheme (SRS) of Dubai Customs.

His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Butti, Director General of Dubai Customs, honoured the outstanding inspectors with medals, certificates of recognition and financial awards, with the participation of Mr. Muhammed Al Marri, Executive Director of the Customs Operations, and Mr. Ali Almughawi, Executive Director of Airports Operations Department.

Addressing the inspectors, H.E. commended “the efforts made by the inspectors being stationed at the first defense line protecting the sea, land and air ports of our beloved emirate.”

Mr. Butti addressed the inspectors saying: “You are now can be seen as a vital part of the Customs core business constituting the most important elements of the customs process as whole. I am confident that your selection, which came in accordance with the performance appraisal criteria that approved by the Executive Counsel, your outstanding achievements in the area of seizures and the contribution to the Customs Suggestions and Rewards Scheme was hardly completed.”

Mr. Butti reminded the guests and particularly the inspectors with some of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai quote: “We were not and shall not be those who sleep on the silk of success or leaning on the shine of achievements or thinking that the forward march may continue by a self-momentum”.
