ALBAWABA - Multiple drones were seen above several airports across Denmark, police announced on Thursday, noting that a similar incident took place days ago and caused the closure of Copenhagen Airport.
"It was not possible to take down the drones, which flew over a very large area over a couple of hours," North Jutland chief police inspector Jesper Bojgaard Madsen said.
Drones were spotted at airports in these cities: Aalborg, Esbjerg, Sonderborg, in addition to the Skrydstrup air base, the Danish police added.
Aalborg airport, located in northern Denmark, was forced to close for multiple hours before reopening again.
The police revealed that it opened a probe along with the Danish intelligence service and the armed forces to "clarify the circumstances".
Last Tuesday, Copenhagen Airports was forced to cancel flights and redirect them again after drones were spotted over the biggest airport in Denmark.
In addition to Copenhagen Airport, Norway's Oslo Airport was also closed for the same reason.
