ALBAWABA - Sudanese medical sources announced on Wednesday that a drone attack targeted a school in the country, leading to the killing of two children.
Sources further added that 12 others were injured in the same attack.
A UNICEF spokesperson said that no children on Earth are facing what children in Sudan are facing now, as they are at the heart of the world's largest humanitarian crisis, and the situation is worsening every day.
Ricardo Pires spoke about the situation in parts of North Darfur where more than half of the children are suffering from acute malnutrition, adding: "This is not just a prediction or a model, but a stark reality."
Perez warned that severe hunger and malnutrition affect children first, as they are the youngest and most vulnerable, noting that "these are children between six months and five years old, and time is running out for them."
