The Dubai Ports Authority has launched its portal, linking Dubai with major ports worldwide as part of its IT expansion scheme, Emirates news agency (WAM) reported Monday.
The portal, according to the agency, is the first of its kind in the region, and offers services that will boost commercial viability and enhance relations with customers.
Jamal Majid bin Thania, DPA assistant managing director was quoted by WAM as saying that "the project gives users access to container, voyage, vessel and manifest data electronically, download files on container movements, agent inventory and loaded or upload manifest, and load/discharge list." -- Albawaba.com
