Fostering a sense of unity within its multinational workforce, DP World, UAE Region recently celebrated Philippines National Day, with guests of honour the Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, Grace Relucio Princesa.
Filipino staff and their families were invited to a day-long event held at the terminal in Jebel Ali to commemorate the 112th Philippine Independence Day. The day started off with the screening of a five minute documentary on the history of Independence Day followed by a parade of flags and the playing of Philippines and UAE National Anthems.
In her message, Her Excellency Grace Relucio thanked DP World for organising this event and thanked all the Filipino expatriates for their cooperation and contribution to the successful growth of DP World.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region, said:

We are pleased to celebrate National Day with our Filipino colleagues to underline the strong sense of unity and diversity within our vast organisation. DP World, UAE Region marks the national days of a number of countries in recognition of the contribution made by its employees to the company's growth.
With around 6,000 team members from across five continents, DP World, UAE Region is a microcosm of the UAE's multi-cultural demography. DP World's global team of 30,000 is made of more than 90 different nationalities, reflecting the scope and scale of its operations with 49 terminals in 27 countries.
