Dolphin Energy Limited today renewed its support for the 3rd World Future Energy Summit (WFES), taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre between January 18 and 21, 2010.
The theme of the summit is ‘Turning Energy Challenges into Business Opportunities’, and the event is being held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
WFES will host world leaders, policy makers, industry experts, thinkers and investors who will meet to collectively identify real solutions to today's climate change and energy challenges.
Among those challenges is the role sustainable energy plays to help meet the anticipated growth in global energy demand, which is expected to soar significantly over the next two decades.
Dolphin Energy CEO, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, commented: “This is a challenge that the UAE has embraced with distinction and the last twelve months have seen enormous strides taken in the UAE to further the country’s commitment to renewable energy. Dolphin Energy continues to strongly support this position and the objectives of Masdar.
“As a major natural gas supplier to the southern Gulf, the company believes that natural gas will play a significant role in bridging the gap from traditional energy sources to a future founded extensively on sustainable energy,” Mr. Al Sayegh continued.
The World Future Energy Summit 2010 aims to build on the successes of its previous events held over the last two years. More than 30 individual conference sessions are planned and over 200 international influencers will address future energy strategies, policies and technologies.
