DOLPHIN ENERGY ATTENDS 7TH DOHA NATURAL GAS CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION
Dolphin Energy Limited today announced its participation in the forthcoming 7th Doha Natural Gas Conference and Exhibition, which is taking place at both Doha Sheraton Hotel and the Qatar International Exhibition Centre.
The biennial event is considered one of the most important conferences on natural gas in the industry and is set to attract more than 40 renowned experts from the regional and international gas industry to the three day event.
“This is an important platform for leading individuals and companies to discuss regional and global trends, technical developments, economics and geo politics. As one of the largest energy related projects ever undertaken in the region our presence is a must,” explained Mr. Adel Albuainain, General Manager, Dolphin Energy, Qatar.
Since it last participated in the same conference in 2007, Dolphin Energy has taken great strides to enhance its ability to deliver gas to its customers. In February 2008, the company achieved for the first time its target daily throughput rate of 2 billion standard cubic feet per day. Then in Autumn of the same year, Dolphin began construction of the new Taweelah to Fujairah pipeline to support industrial growth on the UAE’s east coast.
At the same time, the company began to supply gas to Oman, delivering an average of 200 million standard cubic feet of gas a day. The agreement is valid for a period of 25 years.
“Dolphin Energy’s gas from Qatar will continue to support development, utilities and industries throughout our region; support that will manifest itself into jobs, positive growth and sustained success for all GCC citizens,” Albuainain explained.
“I look forward to speaking with many industry colleagues and counterparts in the coming days. This is a wonderful opportunity to exchange opinions, ideas and insight and I am relishing the prospects of an excellent conference and exhibition,” Albuainain concluded.
